"Coming from a family who had all hospital births my family was very skeptical and nervous about my choice to birth my first baby out of hospital. I didn’t know much about midwives at first and went with one that was close to where we were living at the time. She wasn’t very personable and I didn’t feel that it was the right place/midwife for us to birth our baby. So I went on a search on google and found Lincey Knox. It was her sweet smile, biology degree, experience and relationship with the lord that really made me like her before I had even met her. In our interview with Lincey I felt as if I was talking with a friend. I instantly felt safe and I trusted her, which is very important for the person your trusting for the care of you and your baby. It was then I knew I found my new midwife! During every appointment Lincey was so eager to hear how I was doing. She sincerely cared about my baby and me. I did not feel like just another patient, I felt like her sister or friend. My favorite part of our appointments was when it was time to measure my belly and hear the heartbeat of baby because Lincey was always so excited to feel baby. The excitement in her eyes is still so fresh like it was the first time ever feeling a baby move inside a mama. The way she talked and touched my belly to check on baby was so soft and gentle. Our first appointment she commented that she felt a hand up by baby’s head and sure enough she was born with her hand up on her face. During labor Lincey was very calm and always knew what to do. She explains situations with ease and grace. Lincey knows babies and birth. She has great advice for any question or symptom I was having. She is an amazing midwife!! She is part of my family now as anyone who helps bring your baby in the world becomes. Lincey will be my midwife with all my future pregnancies and home births!"
